With a frontis of Wicken Fen, a foldout Map of the Fen-Land, and a map of the Route to Wicken Fen with the route in red. There has been a spill at the frontis, staining its lower half and the tissue guard, and slightly affecting the lower margins of the title page. Contents very clean, foldout map crisp, with a short repair near its fixing to the book. Slight toning to endpapers, with a pencilled 1906 gift inscription. 16x10.5cms: firm, in the original binding of smooth red cloth ruled and decorated to the front with a heron in black, and titled in gilt to front and spine. Boards bright, though marked by the spill, and the lower board has a diagonal pressure line where something heavy has pressed upon it. Gilt spine title bright but the red is sunned, and slight signs of wear to the spine ends. Notwithstanding the effects of liquid, an attractive little book. First published the previous year. Scarce.
