Sheffield: James Dixon & Sons, n.d. [1908, 1911, 1914, 1919]. Original edition. Hardcover. xx, 498pp, incorporating Supplements of New Goods dated 1911 and 1914, with some hiccups in the pagination. The main catalogue appears to be 1908; however, 'September 1919' is printed at the foot of p.400. With wondrous thousands of illustrations of wares (some in colour), and a few photographs of workers and factory. Contents bright and in very good condition. Title page has some creasing, a picture has been excised from p345-6, p389/90 has had some damage, and a tab has been attached to the edge of p. Quarto, firm, in the original gilt-embossed brown boards, at some time rebacked with a spine of brown buckram titled in gilt. An almost entirely pre-first world war edition, with Victorian design still very much in evidence. A very good copy. Very Good. Item #19088050
