In the original binding of blue textured boards, spine titled in gilt: clean and bright, corners sharp. In the protected unclipped pictorial dust jacket by Pat Marriott, of which the front panel and the spine are boldly but erroneously titled 'Foxen's Hole'. This copy came from the printer's archive, and may be unique. The jacket is crisp and clean, with very minor scuffs to the top edge, and a small patch of surface damage to the publisher's logo at the foot of the spine. 'An exceptionally fine children's book in any genre' (The Guardian): a very nice (but also highly unusual!) copy. Near Fine / very good+. Item #19737050
