The pages adjacent to the boards have some tanning and, but for small stains at pp35-37, all the rest of the pages are notably bright, with clear print. In the original binding of red cloth, with faded gilt spine title and upper board decoration. The boards are firm, but there is wear to the extremities, and there are extensive splits to the cloth on both sides of the spine. The tale of a young couple, which starts in London, but soon moves to Palestine, where difficulties develop as David feels the call of his Jewish destiny. A very scarce title.
