The book appears to have been dropped in the mud of the battlefield: some page margins and two page openings are heavily soiled, and the back endpapers are stained. There are pencilled marginalia to a number of pages. The foldouts are in good clean condition. In the original red cloth binding titled in black: firm, rather blotchy, with some bubbling of the cloth, fairly respectable. Scarce. Offered as is, with soiled pages.
