Little Brother and Little Sister, and other tales by the Brothers Grimm.
Brothers Grimm, illustrated by Arthur Rackham:

Little Brother and Little Sister, and other tales by the Brothers Grimm.

London: Constable, 1917. First edition with Rackham illustrations. xii,251pp, with many text and full-page illustrations in line, plus the 12 tipped-in colour plates mounted recto on captioned grey card mounts, with the original loose tissue guards. There is imperfect colour registration to the 6th plate ('He played until the room was entirely filled with gnomes') giving a slightly blurred effect, otherwise the plates are all fine. Contents fresh and clean: free endpapers tanned. Foxing to uncut closed fore-edge. Quarto, 26.5x20cms, in the original pale green cloth titled and decorated in gilt, clean, bright and firm, with slight puckering to the spine extremities. A particularly fresh copy of one of Rackham's most attractive collections. Near Fine.
