A Pictorial Souvenir and History of the First Battalion, the South Staffordshire Regiment, Bombay, India, 1926.
Lieut.-Colonel J.R. Minshull-Ford:
British Historical and Art Publishing Co.,
n.d. [c. 1926?]
Presumed first and only edition.
28pp, including a history of the Battalion, followed by the 29 thick card pages on cloth hinges, with photographs mounted recto. 34 of these are 6x8ins, mounted two to a page, the other 12 being considerably larger, and all with printed captions. All are good quality prints, bright and sharp: most are group portraits (these do not give names). The text pages are clean and unmarked, with a little minor foxing to the prelims. Landscape Folio, 280x390mm, in the original binding of green pebble cloth, with ruling and insignia in gilt. Small scuffs to corners, short closed split to top edge of lower board, and a little faint soiling. Nice copy in the original cloth.
