A.S.G. Butler, with drawings by H. Russell Hall, and a Foreword by Michael Sadleir:
147pp, illustrated. The adventures of an architect employed to report on the bombed properties in Chelsea. Front free endpaper bears the 1946 ownership name of Rosamund Strode, later Benjamin Britten's musical assistant. Some foxing to endpapers, prelims, and final pages. Contents otherwise very clean and unmarked. Light spotting to closed edges. In the original binding of green cloth, spine titled in blue, bright, firm and square. The protected white pictorial dust jacket is soiled, with a small hole in the spine, a couple of short closed tears, and a little loss from the extremities. Very nice association copy of a scarce title.
Very Good+ in fair dust-jacket.
