Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, illustrated by E. McKnight Kauffer: translated by Motteux, revised by J. Ozell:
Don Quixote de la Mancha. [Limited Edition, in two volumes. ]

London: The Nonesuch Press, 1930. First edition thus. ix, 502; iv, 549; beautifully printed on fine Casinensis hand-made paper, with the twenty-one pochoir plates by McKnight Kauffer. #135 of the 900 copies printed for the UK (of 1475 in toto). Contents of both volumes very fresh and unmarked. In the original tan morocco bindings, darkened to the spines and the board edges as usual, but with no spotting to the upper boards: lower board of Vol I has a surface scuff and a few dark patches, that of Vol II has some sunning. Beautifully produced, and a pleasure to read. Very Good.
