Edited and Published by Gilbertson & Page, Ltd:
The Gamekeeper: A Journal devoted to the interests of Game Preservers. Bound as Vols I & 4.

Hertford, Herts: Gilbertson & Page, Ltd., 1897, 1898, 1900, 1901. Original issues, bound. 234pp and 284pp. Contents very clean. Neat vertical folds to some issues, presumably from their having been folded for delivery. A portrait of a gamekeeper adorns the front page of each issue. With many detailed and engaging articles and features, and many advertisements. Included in the Jan 1901 issue is the additional In Memoriam portrait of Queen Victoria. There is a compiling error to 'Vol 1': while it contains issues #3-12 (Dec 1897-Sept 1898), lacking #5 (Feb 1898), these are followed by issues #51-54 (Dec 1901-Mch 1902), which should have constituted part of Vol 5. 'Vol 4' contains issues #37-48 (Oct 1900-Sept 1901) complete. Large quarto, in the original bindings of green cloth titled gilt: firm, fairly bright, with some mottling and marks. Very Good.
