Professional tissue repairs to top edges of first five leaves, and to some of the foldout plates. Superb plates, and contents overall very good, with minor toning or soiling to the margins, and, in some cases, a small tide stain. In recent quarter calf, spine titled and ruled in gilt, with marbled boards with corners of vellum. A beautiful copy. Very Good+.

Silk bookmark frayed at ends. 6 x 4 ins, in the original binding of navy cloth, firm, corners sharp, with owl emblem in blind to upper board, lower board specked with small marks. Spine titled and decorated in gilt, but rather dulled. Minimal other signs of wear. Very good copy. Very Good+.
