[xiv], 576, [13]; with additional engraved title, a portrait, and 74 anatomical plates (all called for), of which 6 are folding. Latin text. Professional tissue repairs to top edges of first five leaves, and to some of the foldout plates. Superb plates, and contents overall very good, with minor toning or soiling to the margins, and, in some cases, a small tide stain. In recent quarter calf, spine titled and ruled in gilt, with marbled boards with corners of vellum. A beautiful copy. Very Good+.

[ii], 19pp (tables of distances), interspersed with the 9 foldout maps - of Europe, England, France, Spain and Portugal, Italy, Flanders and Holland, Germany, Turky [sic], Denmark and part of Sweden. Followed by the 28pp of the Dialogues, including its own title page. Maps and text pages very clean and fresh. The top edge of the title page is lightly tanned and bears an early ownership name, and there is a repair to the top edge of the marbled front endpaper. A final blank leaf has been torn out. 16x11cms, full calf, rebacked with a new labelled spine to the refurbished original worn and gilt-ruled boards. Very Good.
