Professional tissue repairs to top edges of first five leaves, and to some of the foldout plates. Superb plates, and contents overall very good, with minor toning or soiling to the margins, and, in some cases, a small tide stain. In recent quarter calf, spine titled and ruled in gilt, with marbled boards with corners of vellum. A beautiful copy. Very Good+.

Striking for its time, and with a singular cool but sunny pallette. Text in Dutch and English. Photos captioned only with shutter speed etc in a tiny font. Contents notably fresh, clean, and bright, with neat later ownership name to front free endpaper and tiny ink smudge to title page. Large quarto, in the original binding of blue-grey paper-covered boards with cream spine. Firm and clean with faint tanning to board edges and spine ends slightly blunted, corners good, with small bottom edge scuff to leading corners. The protected dust jacket is showing some wear: toned and scratched, and with a 2-inch triangular chip to the top edge of the front panel, three other smaller top edge chips, and a one-inch closed tear to the bottom edge; spine intact, slightly toned, scuffed at head. A beautiful copy in a rather worn jacket. Very Good+ in G dust-jacket.
