London: Thomas Taylor at the Golden Lion, 1722 & 1723. First editions. [ii], 19pp (tables of distances), interspersed with the 9 foldout maps - of Europe, England, France, Spain and Portugal, Italy, Flanders and Holland, Germany, Turky [sic], Denmark and part of Sweden. Followed by the 28pp of the Dialogues, including its own title page. Maps and text pages very clean and fresh. The top edge of the title page is lightly tanned and bears an early ownership name, and there is a repair to the top edge of the marbled front endpaper. A final blank leaf has been torn out. 16x11cms, full calf, rebacked with a new labelled spine to the refurbished original worn and gilt-ruled boards. Very Good.

Folio, 39x30.5cms, in the original crimson binding of half calf with matching cloth boards, spine titled gilt. A very attractive, firm, bright copy with slight scuffs to joints and foot of spine, and a small nick to the head. VG+.
