Occasionally obtrusive - but generally light - foxing to many pages. Original red-brown endpapers with new cloth hinges. In the original pictorial boards, foxed, edges darkened and scuffed, with a new spine of brown cloth. A good firm early copy: the plates were redrawn for later editions. VG.

In the original blue cloth-textured binding titled in silver, clean and bright, corners sharp. In the protected unclipped pictorial dust jacket, crisp and bright, with small marks near foot of spine and a snag to the bottom corner of the back panel, resulting in a 3cm closed tear at the fold and a diagonal crease reaching the foot of the spine [see photo]. Very nice copy. Near Fine in VG dust-jacket.
