Defective, lacking both the title page and p.xi/xii in the prelims, which should conclude the list of diagrams. First plan quite creased, but the rest are good, one or two with repairs or mis-folds. In the original binding of navy cloth with yacht in gilt on front, lettered in black, spine lettered in gilt: rebacked, conserving the yellow advertisement endpapers, and with the original worn spine laid down. Good firm working copy. [Precedes the 1888 US first edition.] Good.

Firm, in the original binding of navy cloth, with the decorative gilt title to the front set on the black, white and red ground of a flag. Bright and clean, spine ends puckered, no serious signs of wear: a very nice copy. Very Good+.

Firm and bright, corners good, thin cloth spine puckered. In the protected pictorial dust jacket: this is heavily chipped and has internal repairs: front panel largely complete. Good copy. Very Good+ in G- dust-jacket.

Otherwise pristine. In the original red cloth-textured binding titled in gilt, clean, firm and bright, corners sharp. In the protected unclipped pictorial jacket: this is bright, crisp and immaculate. An outstandingly fresh copy. Near Fine in fine dust-jacket.
