Margaret grew up in a remote village in Yorkshire, while Will worked in Nigeria and Ghana for the Colonial Survey Service. Margaret had to stay in England during the war - and after - bringing up their children. This is a vivid record of the privations and difficulties and prolonged separation endured by many young couples at this time. Most of Will's letters were lost, so almost all of these are edited from Margaret's lively messages. A very fresh, square copy, with a small scuff near the head of the lower joint. Scarce. Near Fine.
